Lizzo Named Time Magazine’s Entertainer of the Year 2019

Lizzo is feeling ‘Good as Hell!’

After performing and touring for 8 years, the 31-year-old singer is Time’s ‘Entertainer of the Year’ for 2019 and rightfully so. Her album “Cuz I Love You,” soared to the top following its debut in April.

From her empowering hits like “Juice” and “Truth Hurts” and leading with eight nominations including best album, record, and song of the year, Lizzo had an incredible year.

Her inspirational lyrics will get you moving and excited to get on with your day. In addition, Lizzo is an advocate for embracing body positivity. The Houston native is praised for promoting self-love and confidence.

“I’ve been doing positive music for a long-ass time,” she tells Time. “Then the culture changed. There were a lot of things that weren’t popular but existed, like body positivity, which at first was a form of protest for fat bodies and black women and has now become a trendy, commercialized thing. Now I’ve seen it reach the mainstream. Suddenly I’m mainstream!”
