The general public and all DC fans across the globe now know who is going to be by Batman’s side in the upcoming film. The role of Selina Kyle aka Catwoman is set to be cast by Zoe Kravitz in the upcoming Batman film. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kravitz will take on this role and appear alongside Robert Pattinson who will be playing Batman.
The moral of the story people is to never give up on your dreams! After being told she was too “Urban” to be cast in the previous Batman film “Dark Night Rises”, the tables sure have turned.
This casting now comes with family ties in the DC Universe. Jason Mamoa who plays Aquaman is Kravitz’s real-life stepdad. When news broke, Mamoa celebrated with a post on Instagram writing: “I’m so proud of you zoo bear. On and off the screen OHANA. DC WB ohana Lola and Wolfie’s big sister is CAT WOMAN… Unbelievable so freaking stoked. You’re going to have so much fun Aloha P bear.”
Zoe recently wrapped up season two of the critically-acclaimed HBO series “Big Little Lies” and will next star in Hulu’s TV adaptation of the 2000 film “High Fidelity.”
“The Batman” is scheduled to hit theaters on June 25, 2021.
