How To LOVE Yourself Again, A Guide To Getting Over Difficult Times

We all deserve the kind of love we give to everyone else. Believe it or not, we tend to fall in and out of love with ourselves, a lot. So many times, we love the idea of others loving us that we forget to love ourselves. It’s important we are 100% honest with who we are, what we need and how we feel. We have to embrace everything about ourselves, even our imperfections.

Without self-love everything in our lives suffer. For example, our jobs, family, friends and relationships. Breaking down the walls and doing the work takes time. However, the end result is rewarding and gratifying.

We have a list of ways to love yourself again. These tips below helped me overcome difficult times in my life. And every day, I figure out a way to implement them in my daily routine.

FORGIVE AND FORGET

The best way to love yourself again is to forgive yourself and forget about the past. I know it is easier said than done, but it begins with you. There are many ways of coping. Try to focus on the present, create new memories, and surround yourself with positive people. Just let it go! Whatever has been keeping you locked up in a box, simply let it go. So you can embrace your amazing future.

TRUST YOURSELF

When you begin to trust yourself, you begin to open up to yourself with love. If something feels right then go for it. If it doesn’t feel right, don’t do it. Your intuition is probably correct most of the time.

TAKE CARE OF YOUR BODY


I remember complaining to my girls about how exhausted I was feeling. Working a full-time job, trying to blog and keep up with my life was wearing me out. I felt like I was beaten by a sack of potatoes! So I started eating healthier and exercising.

It is important that you take care of your body. Eating healthy and exercising not only aids in looking great, but you feel great. When you look good, you feel good. When you feel good, you do good. So start taking care of your body.

DO WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY

When I am having a bad day, I get myself a mango, strawberry smoothie. I know this sounds cheesy, but it puts a smile on my face. If you love to dance, blast music in your room and just dance. If you love to hang out with your friends and go shopping, then do that. Do whatever makes you happy! The more fun activities you do, you will begin to love you again.

COMPLIMENT YOURSELF

Compliment yourself! I have notes on my ceilings and walls to remind myself every day that I am the bomb! Write positive affirmations and leave those notes on your window, your desk, in your room or even in your purse. Complimenting yourself is the one of the best guide into loving yourself again and it will increase your self-confidence.

DO NOT COMPARE YOURSELF TO OTHERS

I repeat! Do not compare yourself to others! We are all unique and special in our very own way. Comparing yourself to others is so toxic. So your should start today and remove those negative thoughts and think positive thoughts. Ladies, you are SPECIAL!! You are BEAUTIFUL!! You are LOVED!! Always remember that.
