BET just announced that legendary songstress Anita Baker will be honored the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2018 BET Awards. Baker is a force to be reckoned with. Not only has she been in this music industry for over 30 plus years, she also has won eight Grammy Awards, released seven platinum albums and sold millions of records.

Alongside the R&B diva, BET will also honor anti-gun violence activists Naomi Waler and Justin Blackmon, French “spiderman” Mamoudou Gassama, writer Shaun King, Parkland shooting survivor Anthony Borges and “Waffle House hero” James Shaw Jr.
The BET Awards will take place in Los Angeles on Sunday, June 24th.
